Kate Farrell is known for her commitment to delivering authentic stories to a wide variety of television genres. Currently, in her role as Vice-President, Original Programming for WE tv, she oversees the hit franchises, Love After LockupLife After Lockup and Growing Up Hip Hop.  She is a four time Emmy Award winning sports producer and director. She has covered figure skating and gymnastics at five Olympic games and has produced hundreds of sports profiles as a free-lancer for NBC, CBS and ABC. She produced the award winning documentary for HBO, “Reflections on Ice: The History of Ladies Figure Skating.

Kate earned her second MFA in May from Hunter College in New York City and holds an MFA in screenwriting from Ohio University. Kate started her television career at Penn State Television and is a proud alumna of Pennsylvania State University.
